Navigating Police Interactions as LGBTQ Youth of Color

GLAD’s Staff Attorney Allison Wright will be leading a workshop on how to navigate police interactions as lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and transgender (LGBTQ) youth of color.

Racial profiling is an everyday reality for people of color and can lead to harassment, arrests, imprisonment, and murder. Recognizing that LGBTQ youth of color are disproportionately profiled by the police and in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement, this workshop seeks to arm LGBTQ youth of color with basic legal knowledge about their rights when interacting with police. ‪#‎KnowYourRights
