Continuing the Struggle - in the U.S. and in Uganda
Earlier this month, Uganda’s Constitutional Court struck down, on technical grounds, the Anti-Homosexual Act – the law that has put my community in danger, torn families apart, and driven me into exile from the my country. The LGBTI community celebrated, but over 165 members of parliament vowed to reintroduce the bill. The battle is far from over.
I’ve watched all of this from the U.S., where I am seeking asylum. I have been here since February 2014, relying on the kindness of strangers to put a roof over my head and food in my mouth.

Gains for LGBT Families in New Hampshire
GLAD worked with the New Hampshire legislature in the 2013-2014 session to pass two laws to provide significant gains in family law protections for LGBT families.
